Youth Exchange

Dialog – the Institute for intercultural meetings – conducts approximately 30 youth exchanges with Israeli and foreign youth (mainly from Germany)
Dialog matches between the Israeli and the project partner from abroad according to their backgrounds, interests, ages of the anticipated participants.
Dialog agrees with the involved partners on the topics and the conducts of the project.
Dialog applies together with the Israeli and the foreign organization for funds and subsidies.

Youth exchanges include:

• Stays in host families in Israel and abroad
• Different activities to get to know each other and to come to close relations and friendships
• Excursions, workshops, discussions about:
• Youth and daily life in Israel and abroad
• Holocaust consciousness
• Politics in Israel and abroad
• The development of the State of Israel in the 20th century
• The development of the foreign hosting country and of Europe in the 20th century
• Educational system
• History, culture, society and religions
• Immigration and migration, multicultural aspects in Israel and abroad
• Transmission of values like tolerance, respect and accepting the other, democracy, human rights and involvement in society
• (National) identity/is in the global world
• Excursions to cultural and historical places and sites and landscapes
