To continue to work, live and learn together

German-Israeli Youth exchange project

with youth from Horb and Rexingen

in Germany and Ein Shemer in Israel

German students - it would be helpful if the visit to "Yad Vashem" would take place at an earlier date of the whole program, for then we would have had more concentration. The Yad Vashem Museum is very good and interesting.

Franziska – in my opinion it would be good if the visit to Yad Vasehm could take place in the middle of the program and together with the Israelis. So one could talk with the Israelis about the visit and hear about their views.

The time we spent within the host families was too short. It was ok to do the guided tours simply in the German group. The reception in the druze village was great, as well as activities within the families.
The visit in the Peres Peace Center was held immediately after the tour in Yad Vashem, but it would be better to separate it, because with our brains we were still in Yad Vashem. I appreciated the fact that the visit to Yad Vashem was without  the Israeli youth.

In the host families we were welcomed with open arms, we received lots of love, the food was rich and it was an amazing experience. The visit to the Beth El congregation in Zichron Yaakov was not particularly interesting. The Golan Heights tour was interesting and varied. It would be even better if we would have had more time to dip our feet in the lake Kinneret.

The workshop held by Bettina Ritter was interesting, she responded to us, it was a good mixture between textwork, conversation, questions and answers. The workshop with Michael was excellent. He always had answers to our questions, he's doing more than only his job. The guide Esther was  good and suitable for us. One could ask her any questions. Summing up it was most worthwhile to come to Israel.

Mullin - the visit to Yad Vashem should be done together with the Israeli group. In Germany we visited the concentration camp Stutthof together with the Israelis and his experience united us as a group.

The visit to the Druze village was very interesting, exciting and mysterious. There we ate the best food.

The program in general was very good and well organized by the Dialog Institute.

Elke Hespelt - head of the group - the time brevity was the biggest and general problem. Masada was a bit tiring. The program was extremely varied, we felt in good hands and taken care all the time. We had a close connection with Hannah Tidhar, the Dialog Institue was always accessible for us with any problem that arose. In this project we were able to bring together youngsters from Germany with youngsters from Israel. Both Israeli teachers made a big effort. The hospitality was great.

Marcus Schütz - head of Delegation - If we would have had more time in the host families we would have seen less of the country. The program was an excellent mix.
